NJ Volvo fans will be able to get a sneak peek at the all-new Volvo S60 on September 15 when the Naught Tour stops at the dealership.
The Naughty Volvo Tour will stop at NJ Volvo dealership Prestige Volvo on Wednesday, September 15. This event allows Volvo enthusiasts to be among the first to get a glimpse of the all-new 2011 Volvo S60 at their local Volvo dealerships.
The tour will make stops at over 150 Volvo dealerships, giving customers across the U.S. an opportunity to learn about the S60′s new design and innovative safety features.
New Jersey Volvo customers will also see the S60′s naughty side and sit behind the wheel of its new, more-powerful engine and enjoy the interior features.
“The interior of the all-new S60 is all about innovative design in two areas: form and technology. The design is characterised by sporty freshness down to the smallest detail. The technological aspect includes all those smart solutions that contribute to a driving experience unlike that of any other Volvo – from collision avoidance safety and comfort systems to infotainment and audio excellence of absolute world class,” says Tomas Ahlborg, Project Director for the all-new S60.
The S60 has been Volvo’s best-selling model, but upgrades change the traditional look of this vehicle.
The goal of the 2011 model was for all-around sportiness, which was obtained both inside and out. A strong exterior build with defined lines plays up the sportiness of the vehicle. On the interior, racetrack elements combine with luxury to create a comfortable ride with more than anyone will ever need, including leather upholstery, additional legroom, HD radio, Sirius satellite radio, DVD player and USB, iPod and AUX inputs.
The dominant driving experience in the S60 is fueled by a powerful turbo, six-cylinder engine that churns out 300 horsepower. Improved handling also adds to the S60’s sporty feel with available all-wheel drive and standard dynamic stability and traction control (DSTC) with sport mode, advanced stability control (ASC) and corner traction control.
Volvo invested over five years and 300,000 miles of testing into the development of its new safety system, but clearly the rewards are worth any amount of work. Improved safety features include the Pedestrian Detection System, which combines a radar unit in the front grille and a camera at rear-view mirror level. They work together to spot pedestrians on the road ahead of the vehicle and if the driver fails to react in time, the system automatically activates full braking power.
NJ Volvo customers can also pre-order the 2011 S60, which is expect to arrive at the dealership in the beginning of October.
