Toyota Dealership Staff Gets Active for Charity

See how the staff of our Toyota dealership gives back to our community by providing more than just safe family vehicles. By supporting an inspiring charity, our staff helps bring hope to many families as well.

Our local Toyota dealership serving Westminster staff is proud to have participated in the first annual Butterfly Walk supporting Kristie’s Foundation on October 20^th.

Kristie’s Foundation is a charity supporting some of the strongest people in our community to improve their end-of-life care. The critically ill children who benefit from Kristie’s Foundation show strength and courage despite their battle to survive.

The first annual Butterfly Walk was held on Saturday, October 20 in Huntington Beach. Supporters participated in the 5K walk/run to support children who are fighting their battles, survivors, and honor children that have lost their lives. Our Toyota dealer serving Westminster is proud to be able to support a Foundation not only raising funds to help those who need it most, but to also restore hope to families.

Kristie’s Foundation supports children in their families in several ways besides community events like this month’s walk. The Compassion Program offers families to spend cost-free and worry-free time together creating special moments and memories at their child’s most critical stage. Whether the child has limited time left or is about to undergo a risky procedure, gives families an opportunity to enjoy quality time together outside of a hospital.

The Foundation also provides family support for those who have a child battling a critical illness. When lives are turned upside down and medical bills take over finances, Kristie’s Foundation provides emotional support, grief and crisis support, assistance with funeral arrangements and basic financial assistance. Kristie’s Foundation also organizes monthly family fun activities to give those grieving a change of pace.

The Peer-to-Peer Program consists of teen and adolescent volunteers connecting with those who have a life-threatening illness. Because they are usually taken out of their normal life as an adolescent, the volunteers help bridge the gap and bring back a sort of normalcy into their lives. Kristie’s Foundation also works to setup children’s memorial funds for families looking to honor their child, without having to start their own foundation.
