There are an increasing number of drivers on the roads these days, leading to an increased number of accidents. To help prevent accidents that injure children. Toyota of Huntington Beach is excited to partake in the movement to donate 10,000 child car seats to families in need.
Toyota of Huntington Beach wants drivers to be aware of the fact that the majority of children involved in car accidents as passengers are improperly restrained. This fact is the a leading reason as to why Toyota and the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital are campaigning to donate 10,000 child car seats to families in need. This will further educate families about how to correctly secure their children while on the road.
“While cars and trucks today are safer than they’ve ever been, motor vehicle crashes are still the leading cause of death in the United States for children between the ages of one and 12,” said Patricia Salas Pineda, the group vice president of National Philanthropy and the Toyota USA Foundation at Toyota Motor North America.
“Tragically, so many of these deaths and injuries could be avoided through the proper use of child car seats and seat belts. We are pleased to be working with the visionary medical experts at Cincinnati Children’s to help empower parents and caregivers to make an even bigger difference in protecting young passengers while also bringing thousands of new child car seats to families in need.”
This cause is something that Toyota of Huntington Beach is incredibly proud to be a part of. Ensuring the safety of children in cars is always a big concern for car distributors. This respected push to protect youth passengers is extremely necessary, and something that the team at Toyota of Huntington Beach are proud to promote.
This campaign is building off of the previous Buckle Up for Life safety program that was also created by Toyota and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital previously. To learn more about the campaign and child safety seats, go to http://www.causes.com/toyota.
